Hapu

Since I am learning to talk, I often have my own way of saying things until I work out exactly how to get it right. One of my expressions over the last few months has been "hapu." Mommy and daddy were a little confused at first as to what exactly I was trying to say, but now that I've gotten a little bigger, they can tell I'm saying "help you." When I want help, I say "help you." This is because mommy often asks me if I need help, and she does so by saying "can I help you?" So naturally, when I need help, it makes sense to say "help you."

The opposite

Sometimes, the opposite of what you'd think would happen, happens.

Now that the weather is nice sometimes, we go on runs with mommy, and sometimes for a long time. This was the scene at the end of our 6 mile run the other day. You might think the baby would be sleeping and I would be awake, but not this time. Mommy was really surprised because I almost never ever EVER fall asleep anywhere but my bed. But, I'd had enough raisins so I decided to go ahead and take a little nap. I love naps. In fact, I love naps so much that I decided to skip lunch and go straight to my bed for my real nap. Yay for naps!

5 Months

Lily had her 5th monthday on March 1. Mommy was a little late taking her monthday pictures this month, so Lily was about 5 1/2 months old in these pictures.

She sure is smiley!

Big brothers

Big brothers are good for lots of things. One of the things I am good at is making my mommy laugh by taking care of my little sister in funny ways.

Jacket

I like to wear jackets. Sometimes I like to wear my life jacket. There was even one day that I wore my life jacket all day. I wore my life jacket over my pajamas, to the park, and even in the bath tub.

It was a fun day!

Playing

I love to play. And I love to play with Lily. Even though she doesn't do much yet, she does smile a LOT, and I like to make her smile.

Lily really likes chewing on her fingers.

Lily has a head!

I like to show her where her head is and pat her head.

And she loves my kisses!

Hello again

Hello again friends. I took a little time off from my blog because we moved houses and were very busy. But, we're all settled in our new house, so I'm back. I have a lot of catching up to do. First I want to show you some pictures from our family photo shoot we did in Hawaii.
