Hiking

One of the things we did in Hawaii was go on a hike at Makapu'u. Mommy, Auntie Dawn, and Auntie Kate pushed me, Lily, and Andrew 1.75 miles straight up on a trail, and then back down again. It was very hot out and I got to eat lots of snacks on the way.

A different kind of hat

In addition to conventional hats, I also like to wear other types of things on my head. Here is one example.

Beer cases make good hats. My buddy Andrew agrees.

This is Andrew. He was born about 2 months after I was, so we've been friends since we were itty bitty. When Andrew and I saw each other for the first time, we gave each other the biggest, sweetest hug anyone's ever seen. Our mommies couldn't believe it, since we hadn't seen each other in so long.

The Beach

My trip to Hawaii was awesome! The first day, and every day, when I went to the beach I had so much fun that I never wanted it to end. I charged wave after wave until it got dark and I was cold and shivering, but I still wanted to keep playing. Mommy says this is how daddy feels about surfing.

Vacation

Guess where I went on vacation? To Hawaii! I had the time of my life playing with my friends and going to the beach. I learned to say "beach" and "Hawaii" and "surfer" and lots of other fun stuff. These are my very best friends in Hawaii!

Cold

Since we don't live in Hawaii anymore, it gets cold outside. It also rains a lot, but when it's not raining, we still go outside and play.

First I have to put on shoes. I really like shoes. I still need help to put them on, but I can take them off all by myself.

This is my winter hat. I will wear it sometimes.

This is what Lily wears when we go out in the cold. She's little bitty, so we have to keep her extra warm.

Kisses from grandma are also very important!

The third monthday

On New Year's Day, Lily celebrated her third monthday.

 

Now that she's a little older, Lily doesn't cry as much, so I like her a lot more. I spend lots of time giving her hugs and kisses and helping her by giving her back her "pass" (pacifier). I am also a big help to mommy, because I like to throw things in the trash. So I can throw away diapers, wipes, tissues, and even sometimes my toys and clothes! Yay for helping!
